Yesterday we went golfing at Hagley Park. It is a huge park in the middle of the city. Green fees are cheap at most courses compared to home. At Hagley it's $15 ($12 CAD) for 12 holes.
That is pretty cheap. But the body boarding is free and more exciting since ocean activities are non-existent on the prairies. I think I'd be doing more of that.
You can't go to the beach everyday though. It has to be fairly calm and warm out to be enjoyable. If it's windy, the beach is definitely not the place to be. (You really have to take advantage of those calm days)!
